Senior Backend Engineer, Laravel
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to architect and build robust backend systems for our enterprise clients. You will take ownership of complex technical challenges and lead backend development across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- ✓Architect scalable backend systems and APIs using PHP/Laravel
- ✓Lead technical design discussions and code reviews
- ✓Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- ✓Optimise application performance and database queries
- ✓Collaborate with frontend teams to define API contracts
- ✓Ensure code quality through testing and best practices
Requirements
- •5+ years of PHP/Laravel backend development experience
- •Deep expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs
- •Strong knowledge of MySQL query optimisation
- •Experience with caching strategies (Redis, Memcached)
- •Solid understanding of software architecture patterns
- •Experience leading technical teams or mentoring developers
Nice to Have
- •Experience with microservices architecture
- •Knowledge of message queuing systems (RabbitMQ, SQS)
- •AWS certifications
